Yes! Absolutely, the electronic system pumps a slightly greater amount of electrons into the car body than it loses and this is in no way damaging to the environment or the vehicle.
This ensures oxygen can never combine with iron to form rust. The loss of electrons in paint is also the cause of “paint oxidisation” so the CouplerTec™ system protects your paint work as a bonus.
The electronic system is made from solid state parts encased in resin so it lasts for years and years and is very inexpensive over the life of your vehicle.
It really depends on the vehicle and the service being performed, however this is extremely cheap in comparison to having your vehicle degrade due to rust or having to fix rust once it has taken hold.
If you need a specific quote feel free to phone, or email us with your vehicle type and a little background on how you use the vehicle; ie.. Beach driving, city driving, mining work, etc.
If you take advantage of our social networking coupons that frequently come around you can save. You can find and like our Facebook page by clicking the below button to stay up to date with our posts.
The vehicle is required overnight.
The underbody and engine bay of the vehicle is first thoroughly cleaned, and “stripped out”. This needs to be completed before we can fit any electronic units to the vehicle, to ensure that the current is not interrupted by any debris or physical matter attached to the vehicle.
Unfortunately, we are unable to give exact times as to when your vehicle will be ready for collection, because each vehicle is different, and some take longer than others to fit. However, we do work on a general rule that if you drop it off in the morning, it will definitely be ready for collection the next day, before 4:30pm.
All vehicles are stored in secure sheds, and the keys are securely stored elsewhere on site.
We accept cash, cheque, and have EFTPOS facilities. You are also able to pay by credit card over the phone. We accept Visa and Mastercard.
CouplerTec’s 10 year Corrosion Warranty is applicable from the date of the final day of the month of the vehicle’s manufacture for a period of Ten (10) years and is also conditional upon no pre-existing rust or corrosion damage and no indication of any impending rust damage or evidence thereof. For vehicles over 10 years of age a 5 year product warranty (will cover the rustproofing unit against fault) applies.
Example: A vehicle manufactured in Oct 2011 will have a corrosion warranty through to October 31, 2021.
ONLY the vehicle body is covered by this warranty. The warranty does not cover – Engine, Ancillary and Auxiliary Fittings and Power Drive Train, Exhaust System, Roof Racks, Bull Bars, Tow Bars, Non Standard Fittings, Brake System, Suspension, Heating System, Cooling System, and all fittings and fastenings associated with these components or any part that is insulated from the vehicles main body. For the CouplerTec system to reach these parts there must be a direct current to them from the car body, as all vehicles are manufactured differently we can not fully guarantee these parts.
Rust damage that has resulted from battery acid, a collision, accident whether deliberately or accidental is also not covered.
CouplerTec’s Corrosion Warranty will be voided if the system is:
The CouplerTec microprocessor and system is made from solid state parts (not moving mechanical parts) and encased in resin. This has an indefinite lifespan, we haven’t had one get old and die yet but when we do we will let you know.
We are located on Brisbane’s northside, in Geebung.
Our location is easy to get to by major roads (including Sandgate Rd) and is within walking distance of Geebung train station, and buses.

Absolutely NOT. Capacitive Coupling Technology can not harm or interfere with anything. There are no reasons why it should or could void new car warranties.
No. CouplerTec’s unique international patented Capacitive Coupling Technology has a proven record of performance that no other company can copy, because it is patented.
Here in Australia there are a number of different types of Electronic Rustproofing devices available on the retail market. Some are cathodic or impressed current and are not suitable to be used in motor vehicles.
CouplerTec released the latest advancement in capacitive coupling technology in February 2005. This upgraded computerised technology has separated CouplerTec’s systems from the rest.
No. CouplerTec complies with Australian Standards for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC AS/NZS 4251.1) which means it will not interfere with on-board computers, or other electronic devices fitted within your vehicle.
No. CouplerTec systems draw less power from the battery than a dashboard clock, approx. 20 – 40 mA.
The electronic rustproofing system’s life is indefinite, the electronics are solid state (no moving parts) and the electronic board is totally encapsulated in an epoxy resin that makes it completely sealed.
